Tips to Healthy Hair

                                      Top Tips for Hair

This is of course one of my favourite subjects to talk about! Hair hair hair and with LOTS of trial and error with products I have decided to give a few of my top tips to getting perfect locks.

CUT IT -- Now "the first cut is the hardest". What I mean by that is if you don't regularly get your hair cut, you might have to take the plunge and cut off what it needs.
Split ends can never be fixed they can just be made to look a bit better. The split ends will rise and rise until your hair just snaps off.
If you want truly gorgeous hair cut off what it needs. After this, every 6-8 weeks just get half an inch cut off the length of the hair. It will be looking and feeling amazing within 3 months tops.

INVEST -- Buying top quality products is crucial to getting your hair looking it's best. I'm all for a good bargain but if your hair isn't in great condition, it will be worth the investment.
The Moroccan oil is the product I have found to be the best for helping repair your hair to the best it's gonna get without having to cut it. Other products I like which are a bit cheaper is the loreal range absolute repair.

STYLING -- The best thing to do (as hard as this will sound) is going without heat on your hair for a full month. I KNOW I KNOW but seriously, it makes a huge difference to the condition.
Wearing it tightly back is also not good for it so if you are to wear it up, wear it in a loose plait.

PAMPERING -- Every week or two, take the time to give your hair a deep treatment. Whether this be a conditioning mask or a hot oil treatment it will do your hair the world of good.

Hope you liked my top tips and enjoy getting your hair in good condition!

Naughty Pancake Treats

Comfort food wins everytime for me in the colder months. I know i know January is about getting back into shape and eating healthily but there is always next week for that!

Here are two seriously scrumptious pancake ideas to get your taste buds tingling!

Make the pancakes fluffy by adding a teaspoon of baking powder and making the mixture a bit thicker than you usually would.

Delicious!

Techni Art dual Stylers Review

 photo artikel-500-hm-Samlet-packshot.jpg

So this week I have had the opportunity to try out all three of the L'oreal Dual stylers and thought i'd give my feedback on them.

The reason it's called dual is due to the fact that when you press the tube two different products come out in one. So this is a gel type product and a cream product. You mix these two together to get the overall effect.

I have been a long time user of L'oreal and I did feel like there were a few problems with the previous line. They seemed to of fixed most of these though, for example I always found the volume products never manage to achieve a hold without making the hair feel really sticky but they have managed to tackle this problem now, you just have to make sure you don't put too much on. Two pea size amounts will be about right.

This product is a great addition to your collection if you blow dry and style your hair. Not a leave in treatment it only works alongside styling.

Pros:
Good design
Nice smell -- not too over powering
Can't feel the product in the hair
Definitely makes hair smoother and shinier

Cons:
Claims to last 72 hours -- It doesn't, not even close.
Can't help but think the sleek and swing and the bouncy and tender are not that different.

Best ways to relax in the home

How to make your house the most relaxing place on earth!

Clean it! --Get this out the way first so you can sit back knowing you have nothing more to do

Heating on -- Nothing better than a warm house

Scented candles -- Get one of these on the go, candles create a calming atmosphere whilst making your house smell lush! My favourites are the Yankee candles, I'm still burning my Christmas eve one! They last ages.

Bubble bath -- Light some candles, run a hot bath with your best bubble bath my favourites tend to be the Radox ones.

Chilled music -- This is nice whilst your in the bath :)

Takeaway and a movie -- Cheeky but stops you from having to cook right?

Early night -- It's all too easy to stay up till 2 in the morning watching youtube videos and reading blogs but an early night ensures you wake up the next day feeling alert and ready to face the day.

Try these steps to have the most relaxing day without having to leave your home :)

Homeware Scrapbook

I am a huge fan of throwing together scrapbooks of  things I like whether it be Homeware, Recipes, Holidays, Wedding ideas i LOVE to scrap!
It gives you inspiration when you look back on it as i find decorating the house is one of the hardest things to co ordinate.
So i thought i'd have a little share of the things i like (homeware edition) and what i hope to add to my house one day.

How to make Roasted Tomato and Red Pepper Soup

Mmm I have really wanted to get into cooking more this year and I am trying to learn new recipes and actually cook from scratch to make fresh meals.
Soup is an easy place to start, as you can more or less turn anything into soup!
My favourite is always Tomato so i thought i'd start with Roasted Tomato and Red Pepper Soup.

1 Onion
6 cloves of garlic
Vegetable stock
Tabasco sauce (optional)

4. Cook until the vegetables look lightly charred (roughly 30-40minutes but keep an eye on it)
5. Add 500ml of boiling water to a pan and add your vegetable stock
6. Add the ingredients to the pan and use a blender/hand held blender to blend all the ingredients together. I used my Morphy Richards soup maker (Ace Christmas Present) to blend all mine together whilst keeping it warm.

And there you have it -- A few easy steps to creating yummy and healthy soup  -- This makes about 3 bowls full so change the amount accordingly.

Beat January Blues

Ahh it's easy to feel pretty deflated in January after the hype of Christmas and New Year.
It feels like a long month, everyone's skint and getting back into work. BOO.

Well, turn January into your best month! Or atleast a better month ha ha. Turn that sadness into motivation and get cracking with your dreams and aspirations.

-- Arrange to meet your friends even if they just come round to your house for a little bit it's always a pick me up seeing loved ones.

-- Plan a holiday.. don't book it yet as people all have the same idea and prices tend to go up. But get it planned then you have something to look forward too.

-- Have a BIG clear out of your house and get rid of old clothes and junk you no longer need/use. Out with the old, in the with new.

-- Go out of your comfort zone -- It's pretty easy to carry on how you were last year but if you're not happy, try and push yourself to do something you usually wouldn't whether it's meeting a new group of friends or joining an exercise class. Anything out of your ordinary routine will instantly give you a lift!

-- Leave the negative/mean people in your life -- You can never be your true, happy self when you have people dragging you down all the time and putting negativity in your life. Start the year with only happy and uplifting people and you'd be amazed how much your life will change for the better.

Make 2015 your best. Be happy. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Most importantly, Have fun.

New Year, New Start

Nothing like a few quotes to get us motivated for what's to come in the New Year.
It's a great time of year to make some positive changes in your life! Use this time as a chance to take action with anything you are unhappy with.
One of my resolutions is simple but extremely relevant to me..It's to enjoy life more and to let go.
I panic about getting every detail of my life perfect and with that, I have probably wasted a lot of my year been stressed and not much fun because I'm too worried about the consequences of doing anything different or "wrong".
Well 2015 is going to be a fun year for me.
I'm making some changes in my life to ensure I have a better year. I am going to try go on more holidays and I am going to try my very hardest to chill out and enjoy the year..mistakes and all.
What are your New Years Resolutions?
